Vacation Bible School 2012
(Now called "Catholic Kidz CampTM")

Monday, August 6 through Friday, August 10, 2012
from 8:30am to 12pm

St. Bernadette Parish offers a Vacation Bible School in the mornings of the first week of August for children who will be entering Pre-School (and are at least 4 years of age) through children entering 6 grade the following September. Using the Growing with the Saints program St. Bernadette's VBS strives to inspire children by the lives of the saints, true heroes and heroines in the faith. The program uses lessons, activities, snack, crafts and music to present fun, themed lessons about the saints, virtues and other aspects of the Catholic faith. In addition, the children attend daily Mass each morning before beginning lessons.

Registration for St. Bernadette's VBS program will open in April. A modest registration fee is charged; this includes: snack each day, craft materials, a VBS t-shirt, and a story book.  Because purchases are made in advance, there can be no refunds after registrations are closed.

St. Bernadette's VBS also offers numerous volunteer opportunities for youth in 7th through 12th grades.  Service hours are available for all youth volunteers. These volunteer opportunities include:

  • Assisting the group leaders
  • Assisting with serving and preparing snack
  • Assisting the children with their crafts
  • Assisting the children with music
  • Participating in opening skit
  • Assist in the nursery
  • Decorating

 Adult volunteers are also needed to:

  • Teach lessons and lead activities for one group
  • Assist lead teacher
  • Crafts
  • Music
  • Snacks
  • Pick-up/Drop-off
  • Nursery
